Collection: Silver and Gold

The exceptional silver collections at the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts and Old Salem Museums & Gardens have grown slowly and deliberately since Old Salem opened its doors in 1950 and MESDA opened in 1965. Today we are home to one of the finest collections of early Southern silver from all three of its collecting regions: the Chesapeake, the Lowcountry, and the Backcountry.
