Whether by foot, wagon, coach, or bicycle, Moravians living in Wachovia centuries ago traveled near and far for business and leisure. The diaries they left behind are full of details and descriptions of their travel.

The Old Salem and Wachovia Historical Society collections include many fascinating travel-related objects.  Many of these have never been exhibited before. In celebration of seeing visitors “on the road again” and in the Museum, we have brought together the niftiest of these artifacts for you to see at the Old Salem Visitor Center.
