Description

MAKER: Mary Trotter Hardaway was born in 1825 to George Hardaway (1781-1858) and Sarah (Cody) Hardaway (1789-1874) in Warren County, Georgia. Mary’s father, George, came to Warren County from Dinwiddie County, Virginia. He married Sarah Cody, who was born in Warren County, GA in 1804.

History

After Mary Trotter (Hardaway) Reese’s death in 1912, the sampler passes to her only surviving child, Mary Meriwether Reese Frazer, and descended in the family until the late twentieth century.
