Mrs. William Lightfoot (nee Mildred Howell) __According to Barbara Luck of Colonial Williamsburg, the portrait is “thought” to represent Mildred Howell Lightfoot (Mrs. William Lightfoot) (1723-1783). See portrits S-6170 and NN-66 for Wollaston portraits of Mildred Lightfoot and Mary Lightfoot, daughters of Mildred and William Lightfoot. __There is a close resemblance between this portrait and the one of Frances Stublefield Bruce (?), S-7094, by John Wollaston.
