Subjects
Mrs. Richard Cocke nee Anne Claiborne __Of Shoal Bay, Isle of Wight County, Virginia. She was Cocke’s first wife; they were married November 19,1768. She was the daughter of Augustine and Mary Claiborne. Claiborne (1721-1787) was born at “Sweet Hall,” was in the House of Burgesses 1748, 1753-1754, and the State Senate 1780.
