Description:
DESCRIPTION: Stove plate from a jamb or five-plate stove, with flange at left side, decorated with double arch over tulips and hearts.

DESIGN: This design is closely related to that of several Pennsylvania plates dating from the 1740s to the 1770s. The German carver Heinrich Schneider may have produced several of the patterns used in casting these plates, including the Warwich Furnace in Pennsylvania.
