Description:
This print is based on a painting or drawing by Joshua Shaw. Shaw was born in England in 1777, came to Philadelphia in 1817, and traveled throughout the South making sketches and taking subscription for a series of American views.

DESCRIPTION: Aquatint on paper. The creek is to the left, and a fence goes across it. A cabin is in the background, and rocks, trees, and other elements of landscapes are in the front. Rain seems to fall from the sky.
