DESCRIPTION: Appliqued and reverse appliqued cotton quilt; eagle motif near center with stars, flowers and geometric designs overall; border is delicate vine and wreath design; design includes applied cording; corners of border not mitred; stars are applied at the intersections of panels; Border is 8 1/4–8 1/2″ wide; quilting overall with some flowers, circles are channel quilted. Red flowers and stars were apparently applied last as green shows through in areas that have deteriorated.

Each square is approximately 21″ x 20 1/2″.
