Description:
DESCRIPTION: Remnant of stuffed-work bedcover; predominant color is white with red outlining hexagon-shaped sections; 1 “piece” from outer edge to outer edge is 11″ wide. Each hegagonal section has either a bowl of flowers or a basket of flowers quilted and stuffed with cotton filling. Some basting stitches remain in right side; paper templates still remain in right side; some pieces have writing on them.
History:
Paper templates such as these were found predominately in South Carolina and England.
