Description:
DESCRIPTION: Tureen, creamware transfer of the Liverpool bird, rope design around top and base with suns and leaves on base. Crack on both sides ans one in base.
History:
HISTORY: Fragments identical to this set but with the addition of initials of a local family have been found in excavations at Williamsburg.

RELATED WORKS: Note that MESDA owns parts of two sets of this ware. One set, with the raised edge, called “feather edge” and another set with scalloped raised rim, called “queensware edge.” It was first poularized by Josiah Wedgwood and is pictured in his first pattern book of 1770.
