Description:
Woven coverlet with linen warp and multicolored wool weft (green, blue, black, and red); pattern is dog track with diamond and table variation. consists of two panels with seam in the middle; selvedge edges.
History:
These coverlets descended in the family of Mary Emily Motsinger Raper. At her death, each of her seven children received one of her prized possessions. The coverlets were donated to the Museum by Ms. Raper’s great granddaughter. A photograph of Mrs. Raper is in the acquisition folder.
