DESCRIPTION: Woven overshot coverlet. Brown and white wool woven in geometric designs with small and large diamonds. Made of three full-width panels.
History:
The coverlet was made by the donor’s great-great grandmother, Elizabeth (Betty) Patrick Perkins, who lived in or near Montezuma, Georgia. According to the donor, it was given to her by her great grandmother, Prudence Elizabeth Perkins Brown (1849-1900).
