DESCRIPTION: Plaid linen and wool bedcover with green background and 4 1/2″ purple and bright green stripes and orange and orange-green stripes. In two widths 41″ each sewn together.

STYLE: This is one of several similar works that have been uncovered in Randolph and Guilford Counties in North Carolina. They are of distinct patterns, mostly plaids and stripes, and distinct colors, mostly earth tones. Though their makers remain anonymous, they probably were manufactured within the Quaker or Scots-Irish communities of that area.
