Description:
DESCRIPTION: Armchair with turned back and front posts and heavily turned finials. The back consists of four horizontal turned members forming three panels, the lower two of which are filled with four vertical heavily turned spindles each. Flat arms rest on and protrude over the front posts. Rush seat. One lightly turned front stretcher, two stretchers on each side and back.

WOODS: Although indigenous to entire East Coast, mulberry appears to have been used only by southern turners.
