Design Seminar

May 6, 2017 Winston-Salem, NC

The MESDA Design Seminar features what’s chic in southern design. Moderating the day will be Tom Savage, Director of Museum Affairs at Winterthur Museum, Garden, and Library and author of The Charleston Interior. Joining Savage will be three iconic figures in American design.

Bunny Williams, originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, began her career with Sister Parish & Albert Hadley in the 1970s. She has written six books, innumerable articles, and is a popular speaker on traditional American interior design.

Miles Redd, originally from Atlanta, is one of America’s hottest young designers. In 1998 he opened his firm in New York City. The title of his new book The Big Book of Chic speaks for itself.

Howard Christian is the former Design Editor at Architectural Digest. This summer, he invited readers to “Go Inside a Historic South Carolina Plantation House Turned Family Home” in an article featuring South Carolina’s Mulberry Plantation. His work reveals a passion for beautiful houses, landscapes, and the people who create, care for, and preserve them.

Program includes a catered luncheon.
