TEA SERVICE

One of Baltimore’s most masterful silversmiths in the neoclassical style, Charles Louis Boehme came to that city from Philadelphia in 1799.  Five years later Boehme advertised that several of his “workmen have worked in the first manufactories of London” enabling his work to be done in “the neatest and most masterly manner.”  Boehme last advertised as a silversmith in 1814.  He spent the rest of his life as a successful builder and real estate speculator.
