Estate Gifts

Many generous Friends of MESDA members have shared their desire and willingness to expand the future of the museum by including MESDA in their estate plan.

1766 Society

The 1766 Society recognizes donors who have funded or planned a deferred gift to MESDA that might include a bequest, life insurance, annuity, or remainder interest in a charitable trust.  The 1766 Society name originates from the founding year of Salem, North Carolina, where MESDA is located.

Members of The 1766 Society enjoy both the personal satisfaction of belonging to the Society and the reward of providing opportunities for those who will benefit from our timeless mission of education, preservation, research, scholarship, and community service.
